i get confused when the following situation happens (watch closely):
1. i don't like something mainstream and there is a period where i resist it
2. i am forced to accept it because it just becomes routine and i stop thinking about it
3. one day, several years later, i mention it to someone and it has miraculously went "out" of style
this is the point i become confused because i hated it, begrudgingly HAD to accept it, and then years later it is OUT. i guess my mindset that lead me to accept it is that it is going to be around forever and i might as well just accept it as a way of life. in other words, i am accepting it because i am under the assumption it is going to be around FOR-EVER. but if it is just going out of style one day, i didnt even need to bother with accepting it briefly.
i guess i am using the word "confused" because...i thought it was going to be around forever! how come it is suddenly irrelevant?
then this leads to irritation with myself...i should have followed my instinct and known that it was a fluke...and i never even needed to accept it!
sigh. i irritate myself.
