by chance

as i was walking from bn to target, i walked by this girl who was talking into her cell. by chance, right as i walked by she said to the person on the phone "well you know how they say 'the first time you marry for love and the second time you marry for money', ha-ha-ha..."
i wonder if i was meant to hear that. but what does that mean?
i mean, yes, its a pretty direct statement but it still leaves something for me to think about
...just don't think too hard
