ok debrief of the hob sunset event

it was for the gay mayor of west hollywood to promote his re-election. and he wanted his students (or any students, as i am not one of his direct students) to come to his shindig and we got in for free and there was a free open bar. then he gave a speech and it was touchy-feely and he mentioned his students at the end and how he felt we were good leaders for the future and i was actually touched. and halfway through i realized: HE IS USING THE STUDENTS FOR PROMOTIONAL REASONS! I guess it is a win win situation cuz we get to go to an event and network and he shows others that he is connected to the "next generation" and youth and that he is caring. he really IS a nice guy, but i felt like its all....A GAME. i dunno how i feel about it.
it seems not right, but i dont think that is why he is a teacher at our law school.

so yeah, i dunno how i feel about it
